Rules &
guidelines
NekoNeko is a space built on trust, consent, and mutual respect. These rules exist to keep it that way for everyone.
Consent & boundaries
- —All physical contact requires explicit, ongoing consent. Ask before touching — always.
- —No means no. A hesitation is not a yes. Respect limits without question or negotiation.
- —Safewords are always valid and must be honoured immediately.
- —Do not pressure anyone to participate in something they are not comfortable with.
Respect & conduct
- —Treat everyone in the space with respect — regardless of experience level, background, or identity.
- —Unsolicited advice, commentary on people's bodies, or comparisons between participants are not welcome.
- —Alcohol and substances are not permitted during classes.
- —Keep your voice at a level that does not disrupt other pairs working in the space.
Physical safety
- —Follow the instructor's guidance on all techniques. Do not attempt advanced material before it has been taught.
- —Communicate with your partner throughout — check in, speak up if something feels wrong.
- —If you are unsure about a tie or a situation, stop and ask the instructor.
- —Scissors are available at all times. Do not hesitate to use them.
Photography & privacy
- —Do not photograph or film other participants without their explicit consent.
- —What happens in the studio stays in the studio — respect the privacy of everyone present.
- —If you share anything from a session publicly, ensure you have clear permission from all people visible.
The space
- —Arrive on time. Late arrivals disrupt the group and the flow of the class.
- —Leave the space as you found it — tidy your area, return equipment to its place.
- —If something breaks or goes wrong, let the organiser know.
