Intensive with Ludvig and Angie Ziv

In the end of April we are hosting a weekend intensive in Belgrade with Ludvig ( @ludvigrigger ), together with his model Angie Ziv ( @angieziv ).

This is not just a workshop — but a focused, immersive space to work with the foundation of shibari: the part everything else is built on.

What This Intensive Is About
Level 1 — Fundamentals is where the work truly begins. And also where many experienced riggers return again and again.

Because this is where:

• movement becomes intentional
• tension becomes alive
• connection becomes real

The focus of this intensive is not on learning many patterns, but on developing: precision, control, awareness, and quality of movement.

During the intensive you will explore:

• how the rigger moves
• how to handle the rope
• how to maintain tension
• posture, stepping, and distance
• interaction with the partner
• body manipulation

You will work with simple structures:

• wrapping
• basic locking
• single column
• double column

What You Will Build

• a symmetrical hip harness (2 ropes)
• a chest harness with free forearms (“Free Forearms” concept).

Combined, these can be used as a fast and efficient pathway towards suspension

All principles are based on:

• Yagami Ryu foundation ( Ren Yagami )
• Ludvig’s original research and approach

This intensive is for:

• beginners who want to start with a strong base
• practitioners who feel something is “missing” in their tying
• riggers who want to refine movement, control, and quality
• If you want to build a reliable, confident foundation — this is where it starts.

About Ludvig

As a Shibari teacher, Ludvig’s Yagami Ryu ( Ren Yagami ) approach is grounded in a non-dogmatic philosophy that prioritizes precision, technical excellence, and fostering deep connections through communication. His teaching integrates his own research, exploring innovative techniques within Shibari. Building on the Yagami Ryu foundation, Ludvig develops unique and specialized applications, focusing on efficient movements that emphasize tension, flow, and a fresh, original perspective on the art.

Based in Sofia, Bulgaria, Ludvig is the owner of Shibari Center, where he leads courses, workshops, and private lessons for students of all levels—from beginners to advanced practitioners. With extensive experience teaching couples, he tailors his approach to suit a wide range of interests and needs.

Ludvig also teaches widely across Europe, bringing his adaptable and personalized methods to diverse audiences.

About Angie Ziv ( @angieziv )

Angie Ziv is a Shibari model with a strong interest in showcasing intense, extreme emotions and a defined sense of aesthetics in her performances.

Whether the tying leans toward the sensual or the sadistic, for her every tying is an opportunity to create something artistic and visually striking, and she enjoys the exhibitionistic aspect of sharing that experience with the audience.

She has performed at festivals across Europe, as well as at local events in Belgrade and Sofia.
